The Sheriff has determined that the Lexipol Policy 1050 Nepotism and Conflict of Interest allows him to employ his own family members. TC Sheriff’s Office has a history of allowing indirect supervision of family members. This has resulted in the perception of nepotism, favoritism and conflict of interest existing in TC Sheriff’s Office and has eroded a sense of fairness and trust and is a contradiction of Tehama County Personnel Rule §1308 NEPOTISM.
