The ongoing dispute between the Sheriff and the CA could have been largely avoided had the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office worked with County Administration and the Board of Supervisors to discuss budgetary limits and identify solutions to what was a short-term staffing shortage that occurred in 2022 under the direction of the prior Sheriff.
