Arresting agencies have multiple options for obtaining medical clearance either prior to arrival at the Jail or after being directed to obtain clearance during intake; however, the County lacks written operational guidance to assist officers in determining the most timely and appropriate facility under varying conditions, contributing to inconsistent decision-making and avoidable delays.
