The Ventura County Civil Grand Jury recommends the Ventura County Board of Supervisors, serving as the Board of Directors for the Ventura County Fire Department, support any Ventura County Fire Department effort to obtain and train an ember-detecting canine, including financially up to $20,000, by December 31, 2026.
