Recommendation R11.4

Recommendation R11.4

Develop a certification program with a local community college or school. The program provided in jail could become a class taught at the college level. The inmates who successfully complete the training should receive accreditation for completing the program. This formal accreditation would be helpful if the inmate is sentenced to a state prison and helps them in establishing a program there. For those fortunate to be released, certification may assist them in obtaining gainful employment.
