Del Norte County Code Enforcement
The July 1, 2026 investigation, subtitled “Code Violations Affecting Citizens and County Resources,” links unresolved nuisance properties, resource limits and complaint-driven enforcement with public safety and taxpayer costs. Five findings and six recommendations address staffing, grant writing, repeat-violation fines, owner accountability, proactive investigations and abandoned-vehicle cost recovery. The source names the Board as required respondent for F1–F4 and R1–R6, omitting its own F5 from that list; all five findings are retained here. No current-cycle response is supplied, which does not establish nonresponse. This unchanged 14-page annual report contains the investigation on physical PDF pages 4–8 (printed pages 4–8).

Report on The Del Norte County Jail
The July 1, 2026 report describes the jury’s November 15, 2025 inspection, concerns about holding-cell hygiene, safety padding and broken windows, and improved storage of inmate belongings. Five findings and four recommendations address cleaning, padding and safer window materials. F1 is this jury’s finding about an alleged missing 2024–2025 Sheriff response, not evidence of a missing 2025–2026 response or an independent legal ruling. No current-cycle response is supplied. This unchanged annual report contains the jail investigation on physical PDF pages 9–11 (printed pages 8–10); physical pages govern citations because source pagination repeats printed page 8.
2025–2026 report
Report on Pelican Bay State Prison
The jury describes a December 9, 2025 tour and favorable observations of inmate interactions, art, gardening and the firehouse. Two formal findings concern art-program morale and productive firehouse work; R1 recommends continuing rehabilitation programs. Separate unnumbered commendations are narrative, not additional formal items. These are tour observations, not independently measured long-term outcomes. The source supplies no release date or required-response section. No response is supplied in this intake. This unchanged annual report contains the prison report on physical PDF pages 12–14 (printed pages 11–13).
