Finding F4
Findings
Amador County’s lack of short-term and long-term planning for the repair and maintenance of roads has resulted in a reactive rather than proactive approach, leading to an ineffective system in which repairs and maintenance occur mainly in response to complaints, rather than being guided by strategic prioritization. The county wholly disagrees, saying it lacks resources to act on a plan and that preparing one would produce a document that becomes stale.
Read official response · PDF page 3Whole disagreement and a resource-based reason are explicit. The response discusses the usefulness of a new plan but does not fully engage the finding’s description of current complaint-driven prioritization. Its resource assertion has no identified supporting record.
